The team at Boomerang Carnets is looking forward to the upcoming Small Unmanned Systems Exposition (sUSB Expo) in Silicon Valley on the 27th, 28th & 29th and wanted to let commercial business operators and the public know how exactly valuable the experience was and how their services can aid them in their unmanned systems endeavors.
When a UAV gets shipped overseas, round trip, the question arises, “How do I avoid paying import duties and taxes?” Answer: get The Merchandise Passport, an ATA Carnet. The ATA Carnet is an international customs document that works in 85+ countries and territories to get acceptable items into countries temporarily (up to 1 year) without paying duty and tax. This works for humanitarian causes, demonstrations, exhibitions, sales meetings, trade shows, film and video shoots and other commercial purposes.
The process to get an ATA Carnet is all online. We provide standard 24 hour service and same day service is available for an extra charge. We recently had a client with a couple of drones going to Switzerland for testing and she applied for the carnet in the morning and picked it up from the Silicon Valley office on the way to SFO that same day. By the way, I originally met that client at an sUSBExpo!
To learn more, or just enter the drawing, meet us at sUSBExpo 2016 a.k.a. The Silicon Valley Drone Show, later this month. Leave your business card for a chance to win a DJI Phantom 4 drone worth $1400. See you there.
